Gengetatu Extech was founded in 2015 in Tanzania's Geita Region, beginning as a small exploration venture with a handful of geologists and a conviction that the region's gold deposits could be developed responsibly. Since then, we have grown steadily — expanding our licence areas, building processing capacity, and investing in the people and communities around our sites. Today, Gengetatu Extech operates as a Tanzanian gold mining company committed to safety, environmental stewardship, and long-term partnership with Geita Region.

Jumanne Yusuph Mtafuni has over 40 years of experience in gold mining, having led numerous successful mining projects throughout his career. Born in 1964, he brings decades of industry expertise to his role as Managing Director, guiding the company's strategic direction and operations.
Masauso Zulu
Operations Manager
Masauso Zulu brings extensive experience as a CIP plant operator to his role as Operations Manager. Born in 1976, he now oversees all operational aspects of the company's mining and processing activities, ensuring efficient and safe day-to-day operations.
